From #LakeShoreLodge we travelled further north to #Jakobsenbeach via#Kitavinationalpark. We camped the night at #Katavirivercamp with about 200 to 300 hippos to keep us company. What an experience! Unfortunately we encountered some problems again. Three of the bikes top boxes broke of about 20km out of Mpande on the way to #Jakobsenbeach. Heiner and me had to turn back to Mpande for reparations. Charlie and Bruce were ahead of us and decided to push through to Jakobsen beach. As we stopped at the local welding shop we immediately attracted a crowd as usual. I thought that I would do the engineering and welding on the frame that broke, but the local mechanical engineer didn’t give me a chance. The wound on my hand I didn’t actually get from the reparations, that same morning I sat on the toilet sukkeling to open the plastic around the toilet paper. So I used my knife!
