We stopped today at a farm stall next to the road to close up our vents of our Rally3 suits. When we rolled past MountKenya on its western side we had temperatures of 16 degrees Celsius. As we were busy with our vents a guy approached us out of nowhere. He is from Turkey and his name is Gurkan Genc. He cycles around the world, been on the road for the last 4 years, done 38000km so far, he is on his way to SouthAfrica. It makes us feel small on our #Zambesimotorrad #GS1200LC #BMW‘s. Tomorrow morning we are up at 5h00 again, 4h00 South African time. We have a difficult off-road route we tackle tomorrow for #J9Foundation . Desert like landscape, gravel, apparently rock, volcanic rock, sand and a lot of thick dust with a rocky base. I suppose our bikes will be tested to the limmits again. It seems that our biggest concern will be fuel and water. Can’t wait for this adventure!!! If our page is quiet for a day or two, it means we don’t have network coverage. Will keep you posted asap. Lekker slaap, KORTPAD
